Milling

The first milling machine was invented in 1818 by Eli Whitney, and since then it has been changing and gaining new features that are explained and demonstrated in this program. Milling is the versatile metal-removal process that is applied in almost every machine shop. The program shows both the manual and NC machines in operation. The importance of proper cutting tools is illustrated along with the difference between horizontal and vertical milling machines. Length: 9 minutes. Order #162.
