EIGRP Lab Scenario

by Jason Sinclair

This Lab Scenario is designed to introduce you to two of the most common EIGRP tasks: configuring basic EIGRP and manipulating summarization functions.

The Lab also introduces two less common EIGRP configuration techniques: configuring neighbor authentication and configuring unicast neighbors. These techniques are used for security and for efficiency. This lab scenario is an excellent starting point for investigating all of EIGRP's available configuration options. It is crucial to be aware of all the available configuration commands and options, as it is highly unlikely that you will be asked to configure only basic EIGRP parameters in the CCIE Routing and Switching Lab Exam.
